A microchip is the best way to make sure your pet finds their way back to you. Every animal we adopt out comes microchipped and registered.
What is a microchip?
A microchip is a tiny chip, about the size of a grain of rice, placed under your pet's skin between the shoulder blades. It holds a unique ID number that a shelter or vet can read with a scanner.
It is not a GPS tracker
A microchip does not track your pet's location. It only stores an ID number that links to your contact information in a registry. For live tracking, pair it with a collar tag like Fi.
Keep your info current
A chip only works if the registry has your current phone and address. If you move or change numbers, update your registration. Our adopters get lifetime microchip registry through Petstablished.
If your pet goes missing
Report your pet lost with the microchip registry, contact local shelters and vets, and share on lost-pet networks. A scanned chip is what reunites most lost pets with their families.
