Azul

Pit Bull Mix

AdultMaleLarge

Azul is a 5-year-old, 60-pound Pit Bull mix with the perfect balance of playful fun and snuggly devotion. This handsome guy is currently waiting in boarding for a foster home where he can finally relax, decompress, and enjoy being part of a family while he searches for his forever home. While he’s safe and well cared for, there’s no replacing the comfort of a home. Azul is a total Velcro dog who loves being with his people and will happily be your shadow wherever you go. Whether it’s hanging out around the house, riding shotgun on a car ride, or heading out for an adventure, Azul simply wants to be included. He loves the outdoors, enjoys car rides, and is always up for exploring. After a day of fun, he’s more than happy to curl up beside you for cuddles. He’s truly the best of both worlds. Azul is friendly and enjoys playing with other dogs. He’d likely love having a playful canine companion, but he’d also be perfectly content as your one-and-only, soaking up all of your attention. And if you’re looking for the quickest way to his heart, just bring cheese—it’s his favorite treat! He’s a smart, well-mannered boy who already knows commands like sit and shake. Azul is both potty trained and crate trained, making him an easy guest in most homes. He hasn’t lived with cats but can be cat tested if needed. He also hasn’t lived with children, though we think he’d do best in a home with kids ages 7 and up. Why you’ll love fostering Azul: * Equal parts playful and cuddly * Total Velcro dog who loves being with his people * Loves adventures, car rides, and the outdoors * Dog-friendly and enjoys playing with other dogs * Knows sit and shake * Potty trained and crate trained * Professional cheese enthusiast More than anything, Azul just needs a place to call home while he waits for his forever family. A foster home will give him the love, routine, and companionship he’s been missing during his time in boarding. In return, you’ll gain a loyal sidekick who’s happiest exploring the world with you, snuggling on the couch, and reminding you why fostering truly changes lives.

CaraIn boarding · urgentHigh priority

Cara

Pit Bull Mix

AdultFemaleLarge

Cara is a 4-year-old Pit Bull mix with the sweetest heart and an incredible resilience that shines through every day. When Cara first came to Ruff Road Revival, she was heartbreakingly emaciated and covered in wounds. Despite everything she had been through, she never stopped wanting love from the people around her. Today, she’s healthy, happy, and ready for the next chapter of her journey. Right now, Cara is waiting in boarding, and while she’s safe, what she truly needs is a foster home where she can relax, build confidence, and enjoy life outside of a kennel. Cara is an incredibly affectionate, easygoing girl who absolutely loves being around people. Like many pitties, she can occasionally get a little too excited and express it with her mouth. She isn’t aggressive—she simply gets overstimulated and needs gentle redirection. She’s currently working with our boarder on appropriate ways to channel that excitement and has been making great progress. Because of this, Cara would do best with a foster who is familiar with normal “pittie mouthiness” or is comfortable continuing the simple redirection she’s already learning. Outside of those excited moments, she’s an easy, loving companion who just wants to be close to her people. Why you’ll love fostering Cara: * Incredibly sweet and affectionate * Loves spending time with her people * Easygoing personality * Resilient and eager to please * Currently working on redirection training for overstimulation * All medical care is covered by Ruff Road Revival * Supplies are provided when needed, and our team is always just a text away More than anything, Cara needs a chance to leave boarding behind and experience what it’s like to simply be part of a family again. A foster home will help continue the progress she’s already making while giving her the love, consistency, and comfort she deserves. After everything she’s overcome, we’d love nothing more than to see Cara trade her kennel for a cozy couch and the fresh start she’s been waiting for.

This handsome guy absolutely loves people and enjoys soaking up all the attention he can get. He’s friendly, loving, and ready to trade the uncertainty he’s experienced for the comfort of a home. Wynona

Rottweiler/ Cattle Dog Mix

PuppyFemaleLarge

Wynona is a young Rottweiler/Cattle Dog mix puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She was one of nine puppies rescued from Greenville Animal Shelter after landing on the euthanasia list. She’s currently safe in a temporary foster home, but she’d love a foster family of her own where she can receive the individual attention every puppy deserves. Wynona is the first to come running when people are around and will happily hop right into your lap (or your chair!) to ask for attention. She’s affectionate, playful, and absolutely loves being with her people. She’s also the entertainer of the litter! Wynona has a knack for grabbing a squeaky toy and convincing all of her siblings to chase her around the yard before proudly protecting her prize. She’s confident, spunky, and keeps everyone laughing with her silly antics. Built like a little barrel, she’s also the chunkiest puppy of the bunch and looks the most like a Cattle Dog. Why you’ll love fostering Wynona: * Affectionate and people-oriented * Playful, confident, and full of personality * Loves toys and inventing her own games * Smart, curious, and adventurous * Always ready for fun and attention Like all of her siblings, Wynona is incredibly smart and loves climbing, exploring, splashing in water, and following people around for attention. These puppies likely spent much of their early lives without much human interaction, so they’re learning every day what it means to be safe and loved. A foster home will give Wynona the one-on-one attention she needs to continue learning, growing, and preparing for the forever family she deserves.

With patience and encouragement, we know this sweet boy will continue coming out of his shell. TwixNeeds Foster

Twix

Rottweiler

YoungMaleLarge

Twix spent the first five months of his life surviving as a stray alongside his sisters. During that time, he learned that the world could be a scary place and that the best way to stay safe was to protect himself and the dogs he loved. Because he missed out on critical early socialization, Twix is very fearful of new people and unfamiliar situations. When he’s scared, his fear can come across as defensive behavior, so he’ll need a foster who understands that he’s responding out of fear—not aggression—and is willing to give him the time and space he needs to feel safe. Underneath that fearful exterior is a sensitive, intelligent puppy who has already started making progress. As he learns that people can be trusted, we’re beginning to see glimpses of the sweet dog we know he’s capable of becoming. Twix’s ideal foster home will be calm, quiet, and experienced with shy or fearful dogs. His foster should be patient, willing to move at his pace, and committed to continuing his socialization through positive, force-free methods. He doesn’t need someone to rush him—he needs someone who will let him build confidence one small step at a time. Why you’ll love fostering Twix: * Intelligent and eager to learn * Already making progress with his socialization * Builds incredibly strong bonds once trust is earned * Rewarding dog for someone who enjoys helping fearful dogs grow * Young enough to continue building confidence with the right guidance Twix has spent his entire life believing the world is something to fear. A patient foster can completely change that. With consistency, compassion, and understanding, he’ll continue learning that he’s finally safe—and watching that transformation is one of the most rewarding parts of fostering.
