Meet Ransom

Ransom is a 1.5-year-old, 60-pound Lab mix with a gentle heart, a playful spirit, and a story that deserves a happy ending.

Ransom has been part of our rescue family since he was just a few days old. We took in his entire litter along with their mom, and we had the privilege of watching him grow into the wonderful dog he is today. He was adopted as a puppy and spent over a year in a loving home before life unexpectedly changed. His adopter had to suddenly move out of state and, through no fault of Ransom's own, was unable to take him along.

Returning to rescue was scary for Ransom. He was understandably nervous and unsure at first, but as he settled in, the sweet, loving boy we remembered quickly began to shine through.

Once Ransom knows he's safe, he's incredibly affectionate and loyal. One of his absolute favorite things in the world is playing fetch—he could chase a ball for hours if you'd let him! He also loves spending time outdoors, exploring the yard, and soaking up the sunshine.

Ransom is potty trained, though he may have an accident or two during the first few days as he settles into a new routine. He's also crate trained and already knows some basic commands, giving his future family a wonderful foundation to build on.

More than anything, Ransom is looking for stability and a family to call his own again. He's already proven what a wonderful companion he can be, and with just a little patience as he settles in, he'll reward his new family with endless love, loyalty, and plenty of games of fetch.

Ransom has already lost one home through no fault of his own. We'd love nothing more than for his next home to be his forever one.

Ransom is located in Texas but can be adopted locally or out of state. We coordinate safe transport and offer video meet-and-greets to ensure it's the perfect fit.
