Meet Chance — the happiest three‑legged dog you'll ever meet!

Chance is a 2‑year‑old male German Shepherd mix and a proud tri‑pod who doesn't let anything slow him down. This sweet boy adores people and gets along wonderfully with his foster brothers and sisters. He radiates gratitude and joy, and his tail never seems to stop wagging.

Despite having only three legs, Chance still gets the zoomies and lives life with full enthusiasm. He even tries to howl along with the other dogs—though his adorable "almost‑howl" tends to come out a little funny. He loves toys, especially the well‑loved, ultra‑chewed ones.

Chance is a social butterfly who enjoys meeting new people. He's sensitive to human emotions and can pick up when someone is nervous, making him a great emotional support animal. With other dogs, he's generally easygoing—if a dog comes off a bit "bossy," he'll simply grumble and walk away. He's not the biggest fan of smaller dogs, but he has never shown aggression, just uncertainty. He hasn't been tested with cats yet.

On leash, Chance is a perfect gentleman. He has been a star at adoption events. His foster home has been working with him on sit, place, leave it, and recall, and he already knows down, place, sit, come, "no sir," and "yes sir." After spending a year surviving on the streets and often being the last to get food, Chance has blossomed into a snuggly, affectionate companion who loves being close to his people.

He is fully potty trained and sleeps comfortably in either a kennel or the bed—he's happy as long as he's near someone who cares about him.

Chance is ready to find a forever family who will love him as much as he loves them. Whoever adopts him will be gaining a loyal, goofy, grateful best friend.
